About the role
You will define where a model’s physical reasoning is dimensionally correct and physically impossible, and design tasks that separate the two.
What you will do
- Designing problems with realistic constraints and unambiguous answers
- Reviewing model reasoning for unphysical intermediate steps
- Defining validity checks beyond the final number
- Building graded problem sets across subfields
Who we are looking for
- Research depth: PhD in physics, or equivalent research output
- Physical intuition: You notice when a result violates something no equation stated
- Modelling judgment: Comfort with approximation and its limits
- Precision: Ability to specify what makes a result valid
Credential
PhD or equivalent.
Pay
Up to $160 an hour for this role. Each role shows its top hourly rate, from up to $40 for generalist review to up to $300 for portfolio managers. Your starting rate depends on your credentials; sustained quality moves you towards the top rate. Joining the waitlist is not an offer of work; rates are agreed in writing before any project starts.
