What the work is, how applying works, and how pay is set.

The work

Not labelling: writing the rules a model is graded against.

Define correct

State what a finished task must satisfy, tightly enough that code can check it.

Review agent runs

Read an agent’s run against the rules and mark where the report balanced but the work did not.

Break the grader

Design runs that pass the checks without doing the job, and tell us when our verifier is wrong.

Write the reference

Write the solutions agents are measured against, on cases they have not seen.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick one role

Each listing shows its top rate, the credential it asks for, and the work you would do.

  2. 2

    Sign in and verify

Sign in with an email code, connect a profile such as LinkedIn, and verify your identity. You do this once, for every role.

  3. 3

    Join the waitlist

Tell us your field, experience and the roles you want, and answer a role’s question if you like. We work down the list by role; if your background matches an active environment, we write to you.

  4. 4

    Work on your schedule

Remote and contract. No minimum hours, no fixed schedule, no standups. You choose which tasks to take.

Pay

Each role shows its top hourly rate, from up to $40 for generalist review to up to $300 for portfolio managers. Your starting rate depends on your credentials; sustained quality moves you towards the top rate.

Frequently asked questions

How much will I get paid?

Each role shows its top rate, from up to $40 an hour for generalist review to up to $300 an hour for the most specialised markets work. Your starting rate depends on the credentials you bring; sustained quality moves you towards the top rate.

Do I need a specific credential?

It depends on the tier. Licensed professions and advanced STEM roles require the credential named in the listing. Operations and generalist roles weigh demonstrated experience as heavily as formal qualification.

How flexible is the work?

Fully. No minimum hours, no fixed schedule, no standups. You choose which tasks to take. Everything is remote and contract.

What does the work actually involve?

Defining what correct means in your field, reviewing agent runs against that definition, and designing cases where the obvious answer is wrong. You are writing the rules a model gets graded against — not labelling data.

How long does the application take?

Signing in takes a minute. Connecting a profile and the identity check take a few minutes more, and you do them once. After that, adding a role takes seconds.

When will I hear back?

We work down the list by role. Tiers with the smallest pools move first. If your background matches an active environment, you will hear from us directly.

Who is the work for?

Frontier AI labs and vertical AI companies building agents for work where being approximately right is the same as being wrong. We have no model-company shareholders.

Accounts, verification and your data

Do I need a Google account?

No. You can sign in with a 6-digit code sent to any email address. Google sign-in is offered as well where it is available.

Why do you verify my identity?

So that everyone on the waitlist is a real person and is who they say they are. The check is run by a verification provider using a photo of your ID document and a selfie. SimReal receives the result, not the images.

Why connect LinkedIn or other profiles?

They help us confirm your background. When you connect one, we read your public profile once: name, username, profile link, and for some providers the account’s email address. We do not keep the access token, and disconnecting removes what we read.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Profile and choose Delete my account. This deletes your account, waitlist profile, connected profiles and identity check results here, and asks the verification provider to erase its copy.
