About the role
You will design problems where the final answer is verifiable and the path to it is not — and define what separates a correct derivation from a correct guess.
What you will do
- Designing problems where the obvious method fails
- Reviewing model derivations for gaps that do not change the answer
- Defining step-level correctness criteria
- Building problem sets with controlled difficulty
Who we are looking for
- Academic or research depth: PhD in mathematics, or equivalent research output
- Proof discipline: You can tell a proof from a plausible argument
- Problem design: Ability to construct problems with unambiguous ground truth
- Clarity: Comfort writing for an intelligent non-specialist
Credential
PhD or equivalent.
Pay
Up to $180 an hour for this role. Each role shows its top hourly rate, from up to $40 for generalist review to up to $300 for portfolio managers. Your starting rate depends on your credentials; sustained quality moves you towards the top rate. Joining the waitlist is not an offer of work; rates are agreed in writing before any project starts.
