About the role
You will encode classification and duty logic — where the rules are objective, where they are contested, and where a defensible answer differs from a correct one.
What you will do
- Defining classification tasks with defensible ground truth
- Reviewing agent determinations for unsupported reasoning
- Designing scenarios where the obvious classification is wrong
- Formalising duty and origin calculation checks
Who we are looking for
- Classification experience: Licensed customs broker or in-house trade compliance
- Regulatory currency: You track how the rules changed this year
- Judgment under ambiguity: Comfort with contested classifications
- Documentation discipline: Every determination has a cited basis
Credential
Licensed broker or in-house.
Pay
Up to $110 an hour for this role. Each role shows its top hourly rate, from up to $40 for generalist review to up to $300 for portfolio managers. Your starting rate depends on your credentials; sustained quality moves you towards the top rate. Joining the waitlist is not an offer of work; rates are agreed in writing before any project starts.
